Interview with ABC News Entertainment Reporter/Producer Sheila Marikar

Here’s my second interview at the the Mercedes-Benz Bridgehampton Polo Challenge on Saturday, August 28, 2010. Sheila Marikar, Entertainment Reporter/Producer at ABCNews.com, was kind enough to interview with me regarding the importance of building a relationship (the right way) with the media. The video comes to you live from the SWAGG VIP tent.

Interview with Sarah Evans at #SwaggHamptons

I was invited by Sarah Evans and SWAGG to be their guest at the Mercedes-Benz Bridgehampton Polo Challenge on Saturday, August 28, 2010. It was such an amazing day, traveling on the SWAGG party bus, spending time in the SWAGG VIP tent and enjoying the Polo match. I was able to steal a few minutes with Sarah (in between her interviews with celebrities that stopped by) to discuss what PR and communications professionals need to know about the mobile space.

Social Media Policy Content & Tone

I presented to the members of PRSA this week on building a social media policy and best practices of policy development. Part of the discussion focused on the language and tone that you find in social media policies and guidelines.

Tapping into Your Creative PR Process

I just spent the last two days with Amanda Miller Littlejohn. Amanda is founder of Mopwater PR and a PR professional and blogger based in Washington DC. Our two days were filled with great conversations, laughs (lots of them, as you will see from the video) and many creative ideas.

Reaching PR Goals

I took a vacation this week for some rest and relaxation. With vacation comes time to reflect and self-evaluate. It’s already the end of June and I thought it would be a good idea to check on my progress toward 2010 PR and social media related goals.

Social Media from the Inside Out

I recently participated in a webinar for the Ocala Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association. My topic was building social media into your business plan. Social media is a game changer for business and as a result companies are rethinking resources (people), process and technology .

PRSA International Conference 2009, San Diego, CA

It’s the week before the PRSA International Conference in San Diego, California and I’m thrilled to see that there’s excitement and discussion around this year’s conference. I’m hoping to generate more conversations with the short video that I’ve prepared. Since I recorded the video a few new developments have surfaced. For example, my panel session has expanded. Kami Huyse, APR and Principal of My PR Pro, now joins myself and Author and Chief Interrupter of crayon, Joseph Jaffe and Author and Founder of Ariel Publicity and CyberPR, Ariel Hyatt to participate in a dynamic panel session that we hope will get people thinking and speaking their minds.
