I totally agree with your post! PR people are connectors. They dive into social media and create bridges. They are architects of people’s relationships, communities. PR people are the best cheerleaders! They are messengers and best diplomats. They give courage and go into unknown sometimes. PR pros do love risk. Our creative minds allow us to open doors to new opportunities.
Glad to see Danny Brown on your list. He is really cool PR pro.

    Thank you

    Tatyana

Hi Tatyana! Thank you for your commenting on my post. I agree with you that PR people are the connectors, the cheerleaders and the very best diplomats. Watching our communities grow on Twitter and now this grassroots movement with #HAPPO, makes me very happy to be a part of the PR profession. Looking forward to talking with you more on the 25th!

Your enthusiasm is infectious. I’ve been getting cynical about the applicability of social media to a good many of the p.r. functions I’m involved in. But HAPPO does seem like a great use of the medium. As someone who’s been in the business 20+ years, I’m going to jump in with both feet (especially after reading your post). Also just started following you on Twitter (hint hint.

With folks like you, Tatyana and all the great people taking part in what’s an excellent initiative, there’s a lot that many other industries could learn from what’s happening in the PR world. Glad to be a part of it. 🙂

Hi Dan! That’s very kind of you to say. I think at times many of us get frustrated or even feel a little burnt out from social media but when a movement like #HAPPO begins and it’s designed to help professionals, our passion is ignited and we feel reinvigorated! I’m glad you’re going to jump in and I appreciate you connecting with me on Twitter 🙂 Thanks!!
