Deirdre, young PR job seekers should learn from your mentee’s approach ie goal setting, tracking, reporting. I suspect you won’t be mentoring him very long as he will stand out with this attitude and be hired soon! I hope other job hunters take note. Regards.

What a wonderful idea! I imagine it helps keep your spirits up too after a not-so-great job search day. I think I’ll adopt this approach myself. Thanks!

“[…] having a mentor is an excellent way to keep you focused and proactive, at a time when you need energy and motivation the most.”
I’ve found this article inspiring as I’m looking for an internship in PR these days. The idea of finding and working with a job search mentor is great! It’s not easy to job search all by yourself.

At the end of a Psychology of Communication course I’ve concluded that “Without fears; there is only success!” + “Without fears there is only success!” which became my motto.

When you job search you have both fears but there is the success too. If you let your fears away, you will be able to focus on what’s important: success. And this though will bring it!
