Well that is easy — I am in for 2010 — consider it my first New Year’s resolution. Let me know how I can bring my unique brand of vertical to the conversation – it would be my absolute pleasure!

Social media can be such a valuable tool, but it is so new and there is so much to learn. What better way to do this than to reach out to people who are learning for a living right now? PR students are getting a wealth of information on a daily basis, and are eager to share and learn from their peers and their mentors. They can also offer unique perspectives about social media tools, as most have them have recently experienced the dramatic shift from Facebook as relationship tool to business tool.

It is wonderful that some of the most forward-thinking minds in the field are so passionate about guiding the next generation. To build a strong and prosperous PR field with intelligent and thoughtful practitioners, those with more experience need to share their knowledge with up-and-comers.

Bravo on strengthening the PR community and furthering the field.

Ashley, thank you so much! I appreciate your comment and I also think it’s fantastic that so many people want to join our #PRStudChat community to learn and to also give the gift of learning. Sharing knowledge is one of the best ways to advance our profession and to guide the leaders of the future!
