We’re gearing up for the #PRStudChat March 16^th session at 8:30 p.m. ET, which is being developed, coordinated and run by several of our #PRStudChat senior classmates.  Valerie and I thought it would be a great opportunity for the community to learn the student perspective on social media, trends on campus, what interests students about the field of PR, what they are looking for in employers and much more.

We have a special guest moderator this month.  It’s Lauren Gray who will be working with a panel of senior students to prepare the chat questions in advance. Of course, we welcome any ideas you may have for the session and encourage you to share your thoughts in our LinkedIn group. Our goal, as always, is to have a conversation that everyone in the community (educators, professionals and students) can participate and learn from, highlighting the special insights and contributions our panel/special guests can offer.

For those of you who don’t know Lauren, she has been an active member of the PRStudChat community this year and recently moderated a national PRSSA chat.  Here’s a little more background information on our moderator:

Lauren Gray is a senior public relations student at Western Carolina University. She is her Chapter PRSSA President, an Editorial Assistant with Social Fresh, and holds three other jobs within public relations and journalism. Harris Walker: Harris is a senior at High Point University studying strategic communications and political science. With interests in new media and political communication, he hopes to move to Washington, D.C., upon graduation to work in public relations within the federal government and/or national advocacy organizations. Keri Kochenour:  Keri is a senior at Shippensburg University studying communication/journalism with an emphasis in public relations and minoring in political science. Sarah Tiambeng: Sarah is a senior at the University of Missouri majoring in journalism with an emphasis on strategic communications and a minor in business.
