These are excellent recommendations, Deirdre, that apply regardless of where you are in your career/life. Your students are very lucky to have you as their guide as they forge their own paths.

Thank you, Kirk! Your feedback means so much to me. I feel strongly about these three little secrets. You’re right, I guess they are very much a part of my DNA in work and life, in general. Have a great day!

Great tips, Deirdre! Couldn’t agree more with ‘never stop learning.’ It is vital to any career and keeps novices and veterans alike moving forward, innovating and evolving.

Another important tip is to be a team player; it helps to be someone that others like working with, both internally and externally!

    Hi Deirdre,

Great advice. Thank you for sharing. I agree with Kirk that they apply in every moment of ones career. I believe no 3 “Be strategic” is what differentiate real PR pros of the rest.

    Regards,
    Corina

Thanks, Lisa. So true about being a team player. And, there is no “I” in TEAM 🙂 Thanks for commenting and sharing your tip!

Corina, I may have saved the best tip for last. The practice of PR has to be strategic, and you’re right the pros that focus on strategy will stand out. Unfortanetly, many times, we are recognized for tactics instead of our strategy. Thanks!
